My daughter, a rising junior, is interested in the Price School for public policy. I know it’s a small school, particularly for undergraduate, and there’s almost nothing about it on CC. I’d love it if people could share their experiences or impressions. Also, how is each school involved in admissions decisions - if at all?
Wondering if the awesome @CADREAMIN @WWWard or other USC gurus have any information?
Unfortunately, I do not know much about Price as a school within USC specifically. But yes… each School within USC is very involved in the admissions process. To gain admission to USC and to a specific major, the individual school within USC has to admit you as well. It is possible to gain admission to USC and not to a specific school – being admitted Undeclared – and then internally transfer into a school later. My younger daughter did so in fact, as she was not admitted to either of her major choices (both SCA). But she then quickly internally transferred into SCA as a freshman. Good luck…
