CSoW is one of the easier to get into, and also socially quite liberal. But really, what you need to do is visit all the schools you can. Visits really tell you alot. I know that CSoW has a nice all-day visiting event which is probably coming up soon on a weekend day.

To add to Cold Wind,
They really push the IVYs (parents, students and school).
I know of one girl who was accepted to Juliard and told to go to IVY instead (she did not) as it was "better for the school".

Decide what kind of college you want: IVY vs Top Liberal Arts vs Arts, etc.

Well why even apply to the IVY if you know you want to go to a Liberal arts school. The person had to know her parents were gunna push the IVY if she got in.

Maybe you should say a bit about yourself. What are your interests and strengths? What kind of atmosphere are you looking for? Ultimately, the picture books ALL look great because they are marketing pieces. You may not want to post personal info here, but try sending private messages to a few individuals. While we all have different experiences and biases, there is a wealth of opinions here. Also might look at sites like boardingschoolreview for some macro comparisons. They also have a limited number of student evaluations which might be worth reading. Good luck in wandering the morass!
