What do you think of electrical engineers?

If you're looking for girls in engineering WHILE in school, you're in the wrong major. .. :)

If you're going to be looking for girls AFTER graduating college, just save up and buy an M3.
Lots of chicks dig my friend from college who drives an M3, altho he's a little nerdy looking.... :p

My undergrad department of Materials Engineering was actually around 2/3 girls! I was really saddened when I came here to Caltech and there was only one girl in my incoming class. :(

Where did you go to for undergrad??

Almost half of my civil engineering class was female.

I was with the same classmates for 3 years so study groups just occurred naturally. It probably wasn't necessary most of the time, but why not make it a social thing instead of studying by yourself?

Are you sure they're not cross-dresser? ;p

In my case, less than 20% of my CivE class was female. The hot ones were in architecture, music, business, and english.

how many hot engineering chicks have u guys seen in your classes?

Carnegie Mellon.

And there were some hot girls in my engineering classes, though I think you're better off looking for "cute" than "hot." Heck, one of my good friends was a stripper for a while to help pay her way through college. She quit when all of us started turning 21, but did have her 21st birthday party at her old club. It was surprisingly awkward since there were only two guys in our group and over ten girls.

Lucky...

And I totally agree with you over the cute girls being better than the hot ones. I just thought it was a little weird that the hot girls were the ones in the engineering classes.

We're not in engineering to sit around and look pretty. We're there to lull you into a false sense of security with our cuteness and then suck your boy-knowledge from your brains using our crazy girl-powers before you know what hits you.

Sucking boy knowledge from where we do most of our thinking? Tell me more. ~_~

lol wth O_O

LOL. Touch

I have never ever seen a pretty girl in my major. Except there are classes where girls from BME taking EE courses. Now I am in grad school, some classes even have 100% guys.

There are about 3 girls in my electricity and magnetism class, and they're all quite pretty.

At GT the entire school is like 3:1 guys to girls. The only time I saw girls was at the student center or passing the business building. Like the other guy said, ECE was almost entirely guys.

"Some classes even have 100% guys."

God, no...

It could be worse... some countries don't have co-ed education.

I have yet to see a cute girl in my major... nevertheless, there are a couple of girls that some guys think are "hot." To each his own.

If I were you I would stop putting so much trust in these "people" you are listening to..

Secondly, I dont think that you can make one generalized statement and apply it to a group of hundreds of thousands of individuals. Thats just stupid.

Like all other occupations, electrical engineers come in all shapes, sizes, genders, ethnicities, and personality types.

It is an indisputable fact that there are way more guys than girls in EE. Come on, let's be realistic, what's the chance of a cute girl majoring in EE.

Shapes and sizes: You can easily tell they are not outdoorsy type. EE students will either gain or lose weight in an unhealthy way over their college yrs.
Genders: Mostly guys, cute girls do not exist, unless you are hallucinating
Ethnicities: Pretty much all Asians, Indians and White
Personality: mostly shy, nerdy, and weird

I feel your pain.

In my year, there were 3 or 4 females in a class of 50 EE's.
