What do you think of my odds?

Just wondering what you think my odds are.

GPA: 3.7 un 4.2 w

Took AP bio (3), US history (4) and calculus AB (2) last year

AP stat and lit this year

SAT scores: 550 CR, 600 Math, 550 Writing

Have an internship at NIH/NCI in Bethesda, spend half of my school day there

Also, I am a white male living in the state of MD, if you think factors in at all...

Thanks

What are my odds of getting into an honors program?

This link from the UMD site might be helpful...

What's the difference ibetween the University Honors Program and the College Park Scholars Program?

momnew - read this:

I would say spring admission because of you SAT score.

i think your scores are way too low for scholars or honors. reach for a 1950+ if you want those. probably will get admitted though, bc you're in-state.

u might be looking at rejection. i applied and got in last year but people very highly ranked at my school got deffered with better sat's. not too late to retake

off topic, but how did you manage to get an internship at NIH/NCI with an AP Bio score of 3 and an AP Calc score of 2? Those internships are very difficult to obtain unless you have family connections or are very scientifically oriented. In any case, the internship is your strongest point. UMCP is a low reach for you. Honors program is quite unlikely.

Yeah, people at my school DIE for those interships, lol. I'm not too hardcore science, so I'll probably try to get one at Childrens' Hospital when I'm a senior.
