What do you think of my plan

Ok, I know you guys are excited about scores being released, but how about helping me out for a second!

Last year I took the SAT I, did nothing but take a practice test every day for one week(check score, but not review what I got wrong), and went from a 1290 6 months earlier to a 1410.

So I've signed up for the December 3rd SAT I, and I've got the following strategy:

Math - Expecting perfect, nothing to do but practice w/ lots of practice tests
Verbal - Work through the Blue and Red books(timing myself, taking entire tests at once). Hopefully I will get in the mindset.
Writing - Study grammar, and practice.

I have NO CLUE how to test my essay scores. I don't believe in that Collegeboard applet that you plug it into and instantly get a score. What do you guys do to check your essay score?

bump......

Sounds like what youre doing should work. I think it depends on the person a lot. Personally I never prepared for the SAT and I went from a 1430 to a 2290(1520) in 4 months, and it sounds like you had a similar change by doing nothing. Just relax and be confident - don't forget, a standardized test is just that, it doesn't tell you anything about your self worth other than how many bubbles you filled in correctly on a random Saturday morning. Good luck!
