<p>Internet forums are not real drama.</p>

<p>Getting offended from ignorant political statements or a statement that is in opposition of personal beliefs is perfectly natural, and emotional reactions are natural. When people challenge your position, it is going to cause conflict. Conflict is natural. Now, do I spend any of my time off the computer thinking or caring about CC? No. Do I get upset in real life? No. Are these issues meaningful? In some cases, yes. Do I think that these discussions matter? No. The internet is a virtual release. It is only dramatic when people apply internet happenings with the real world. As in, going around talking about what happened online. </p>

<p>I don’t think we should be comparing virtual discussions with real life interactions…</p>

<p>You are certainly entitled to your views, but I think throwing yourself into a discussion stirs the pot.</p>
