What Do You Think? PE, PE, SPS, CHR

im not going to write 1,000 exclamation marks and tell you how nervous i am as all of you other BS applicants already know from the hundreds of other "chance me" threads.

I'm applying for 9th grade at Exeter, Andover, St Pauls, and Choate. I am 14 years old, born in 1995. I am a male US citizen. I was born on the island of Bermuda(not sure if that affects my citizenship). In my school, straight A's is a 4.0, striaght A+'s is a 4.33. My accumlative GPA from 7th to 8th grade is a 4.17. It is a very good public school in the wealthier section of connecticut(wealthiest state and best SAT scores for one county). Teacher recommendations each had an extra page( hopefully all just as good as everyone elses.) essays were written well i believe, but there was nothing unique in any of them. all my interviewers said i was very well spoken and much easier to communicate. i dont know how many kids they tell that to. i skipped 2 grades in math and i am currently taking honors geometry in school and algerbra 2 over the summer.

SSAT = 99 math, 93 reading, 81 vocab overall 95

i do many after school activities. such as, constitutional debate, peer tutoring, math counts, and im the treasurer of the National Junior Honor Society chapter in my region.

my main hobby of interest is playing hockey. i play at a veryy very high level. i live in connecticut, but play in New York. my team , the Westchester Express is ranked number 6 in the country. we have beaten the number one team in north america twice. we tied the number two team once. and beat the number three team once. i am considered to be somewhere around the 5th best goalie in the country, i am on the state team and the east coast select team. also part of the US olympic developement team.

i am very down to earth person, generally well rounded.... i lack in the arts section which i am afraid might be a con considering all these kids play proffesional violin and all that jazz.
my top pick of a school is Exeter. my exeter and st pauls applications were on time, but my andover and choate applications were each a day late. i am not certain on there effects to that.

I am very enthusiastic and always try my best, but i am not a perfect 99% multilingual kid who plays proffesional violin and helps african communities, but i feel i am a very unique applicant and can develope my skills and benefit the world with the education i can receive.

how do you feel about my chances?

it depends on the school. Some would accept you just for you alleged hockey prowess, some want more well-rounded students, some value the arts more.

Lol you don't really need most of that...you'll get in because of hockey. Your other stuff pretty much assures that in my opinion.

If you applied to more than 2 , then you will getin somewhere for sure.

i applied to Exeter, Andover, Choate, and St Pauls. Choate is the only one i feel qualified academically. i got 95%, but idk how tough they are academically compared to public school, but Choate has a bunch of older goalies. Andover also has alot of goalies, and i have a 50/50 with academics... St pauls has no good goalies, but i dont think they are going for hockey.... Exeter however needs a new young goalie cuz there allstar goalie is graduating. i feel confident there, but they are obvoiusly extraordinary in academics. i have liek a 40/60 chance there, but there coach sed send a video, but he had tons and tons of videos. i talked to him personally and he said he needed a young goalie, but he has never seen me play. So i dont know. i also dont know how much they are going to give me props for the hockey. the coach at exeter is very influensive i believe, but im not sure. i hope it helps, because its my greatest "unique aspect."

Well did you send any of them any video? I mean you can't just drop that your ODP and expect them to write you a recommendation. Well I could in soccer, but thats different...im sure they have loads of goalies wanting hockey to help them get in.

yeh, sent them a 2 min video of a few cut outs from me against the canadian national team, but its just 13 year olds playing hockey... its was the international silver stick semis(biggest north american tournament.... top 10 US vs top 10 canada) but still.. its not proffesional camera work. they take videos of all the games... in general, so theres only like a few 10 second clips of me making saves, but that doesnt really show them who i am in net. idk. they should have a pretryout. i mean i go to all the biggest prep showcases in boston every other weekend over the summer and i train with Boston Colleges goalie Johnny Muse, but its always like Avon and Kent and all the other.. great hockey but no academics schools. no exeter or sps or andover ever show. ... they have never really seen me play, so i dont know how far hockey will bring me.

I would be SO surprised if you did not get in. Hockey at prep schools is cutthroat and that makes the coach rec so much more important. If he wants you as goal tender I would not worry too much.

Oh and by the way your GPA and SSAT are extremely good. Don't worry.

yeh. i feel confident at sometimes, like i think to myself, how could they find 220 better aplicants then me, but then sometimes im really iffy because there are so many kids applying and i dont know if ill stick out.
