I want to own a huge software corporation and become the next Bill Gates. :D

Honestly, I have NO IDEA what I want to do as far as a career. If I could just surrender to the prospect graduate school, that would open a whole lot of doors (I have psychology or sociology in mind), but somehow I can't imagine myself being - more importantly, paying to be - a graduate student...

I guess I just want to be happy. Which is simple but just about the hardest thing ever to achieve. I want to travel a lot and be happily married (no kids). Maybe do some photography on the side... we'll see, we'll see.

Dream Job: Director of Baseball Operations for the Atlanta Braves.

Probable future occupation?: Working in the front office for various minor league organizations before hopefully breaking into a Majore League position.

I don't mean to rain on your guys parade (although now that I think about it, I do), but how many of these jobs are actually going to come about? Like seriously?

Kudos to the people who have a DREAM, but also have a goal that is REALISTIC

For me, as long as I'm happy in the future. How that comes about, I'm not sure. But happiness is the end all of everything.

You don't have to pay for graduate school. Most Phd. candidates receive a fellowship and stipend--in order to write your dissertation. They must, of course, teach some undergrad courses.

A novelist, a poet and/or an editor.

i want to study physics/philosophy. as far as after i get my phd :), i just want to be a person who discovers the secrets of the universe and adds to our human understanding of it. i am sort of one of those people who are trying to find truth in the world, whether it be religious or otherwise. i can't go through life accepting what others tell me. i have to go out and find it myself, if that makes sense.

Mother :)
And..
journalist, businesswoman, pianist, piano teacher, author...

Bussinessman turned politician. Own a blues club and wail on guitar and sing. And then move to Conneticut, close to NYC.

Panky, amen to that bit about happiness. Some people work and work and work and work and chase after material wealth and believe that the benchmark of happiness is dollar signs, but I'm sure we've seen many a cases where that simply is not true.

Yet I'm gonna have to respectfully disregard what you said about realistic goals and post here my wild wild dreams:
- write a magical realism novel about China
- start a business of making greeting cards
- adopt a child
- become a respected journalist

I want to marry the next Bill Gates...you know, the one that looks like Johnny Depp? ;)

Some things I want to do in my life; in perfect, random order:
1.) Study abroad for a year (or more)
2.) Become a Foster Parent
3.) Adopt a child (or more)
4.) Work for a non-profit organization (think UNICEF)
5.) Volunteer abroad (Africa/ Asia)
6.) Fall in love (read 1st statement haha)> Get married > Become a mother :)
7.) Learn how to write
8.) Write
9.) Learn how to paint/ cook
10.) Learn another language (or more)
11.) Improve U.S. relations - (think UN)

I also have a bunch of crazy goals too, but I'll spare you ;)

graduate from high school
take a gap year and start a business
go to MIT for undergrad
graduate and start a successful business
become a multimillionaire before 30
buy a mansion beside the beach
get a special someone and die

i could like become Big Gates by like making a gigantic breakthrough in artificial intelligence, win the nobel prize for it and start my industry and get really really filthy rich.
