What documents did you send in when you were wait-listed?

I would love to hear from someone who was taken off the waitlist!

Thank You!

Pripan,

I was accepted off of the waitlist, although I had a selection of a few similar schools. Basically, I sent a letter explaining where else I got in and how Bowdoin was still my top choice and if I got in off the wait list, I would matriculate. Then, I also mentioned a few updates of my ECs/things I had been doing since I sent in my application.

I recommend you do this and stay on the wait list! In my class (2015), I know several students (8+) that got in off the wait list.

Good luck!

Thank You Glorious23!

Also, was any international applicant taken off the wait list in Class of 2015?

I am happy that you are attending your first choice college! :)

Hmmm…I’m not sure. I know an American student living in France who was accepted off of the waitlist, but that is not what you are looking for. Honestly, I think it comes down to your interest in the school, your fit/what they are looking for, and I’ve heard that other schools may accept students off of the wait list with that require less financial aid (that is negligible though).
