What does Columbia want in a candidate?

Hi everyone, so I was just wondering if Columbia University looked for anything unique compared to other highly selective schools. Like I know UChicago cares a lot about letter of recommendations and essays and MIT cares a lot about math/science. Does Columbia have any unique admissions policies that maybe they don't openly talk about?

Thanks!

bump please.

When you look at the common data sets you’ll see that much of what you wrote above is myth. The top colleges all care about the same thing: rank, scores, significant accomplishment outside of the classroom.

The same things as other top colleges. Specialty schools like Caltech or UPenn’s Wharton may emphasize specific qualities, but not a school like Columbia.

It’s not what Columbia wants in you, but rather what you offer to Columbia.
