Okay so I recently applied to a sh-t load of schools for fall 09 transfer, but I've just recently realized that I completely screwed it up.

I applied mainly to small LACs, but I now realize that I want a larger school environment. Coming from NYU, I think a small LAC would be too much of a culture shock for me. The only school on my list that I would want to go to is Brown, which I'm pretty much never going to get into.
The deadlines on the schools that I now want to apply to (and am completely positive about this time around) have already passed. I'm kicking myself in the freaking face for not carefully thinking about this stuff when I made my list of schools 2 months ago.

SOO my question is: how hard is it for Spring transfer students to adjust to a [presumably bigger] school? Do you think it would be worth it, or is it too hard to make friends, become integrated into the community, etc?
