What does it mean to be an Excellence and Equal Cost Scholar?

Financially speaking?

I believe it means it will not cost you more to go to Bard than to go to your state school. There is information about it on the Bard website - but, unfortunately, the site seems to be down for maintenance. You must have been ranked in the top ten in your school, yes?

Congratulations! Well done.

Well that’s not too good in California is it?

UCLA fin aid told me that it would cost me around $22,000 plus $10,000 in subsidized loans while Pomona will be half of that no loans (0% interests loans if desired)

I got the same Excellence and Equal Cost award, and am very excited since my state’s public university is extremely inexpensive when compared to others. I wonder, though, does this mean no other financial aid will be offered, in terms of grants, loans, etc.?

I am still waiting for $ information from Bard. Has anyone received EEC letters yet?

Mine was in my acceptance letter, though I have yet to recieve the details on my finaid package. Thankfully NY states public schools only have $5000 tuition, I hope bard sticks to that, though even then with room and board it comes out to 60-80k over 4 years…
