What does it mean when subject test scores are enforced?

I took the Bio and Literature subject test and I’m in the process of sending my scores, but Collegeboard says that they’re enforced and I can’t uncheck them from being sent at this moment.

What does it mean and what does it do?

and it was the Dec test!

You are trying to send scores but can’t uncheck them from being sent? If you are trying to send them, why uncheck them from being sent? Or is it other scores you are trying to uncheck? I have only seen the warning that the school is not a select choice school but was able to unselect the SAT when sending just subj tests.

So for the Dec subject tests I can’t see what I got yet until the 22nd. I took both bio and lit and it won’t let me uncheck them from being sent because they are “enforced”. What does it mean by this?
Collegeboard gave me this message: “You are sending this score report as part of your SAT registration. Registration score sends are intended to help you send scores from the test you are taking as quickly as possible - that is why you must send their scores with your registration score sends. You have within nine days of taking the test to add colleges, update your score selections, or cancel the score send.”

When you are sending scores as part of your 4 free sends (I’m guessing this is what is happening), you cannot use Score Choice. If you want to see the scores before you send them, then you’ll need to cancel the sends. You’ll then have to pay to send score reports to the colleges that you choose with the scores you choose. You can’t do that, yet, because you can’t choose scores that don’t exist. If you’re a senior needing to get scores to colleges right away, you may consider doing without Score Choice – most colleges will use your highest scores.

Thank you for the reply!
I’m confused though, I thought I used the four free score reports to send in my scores to my safety schools, but I have no idea how to see if they were actually sent or not? Because when I went back on today, I put in all my school and the four free score reports were still there but my other schools were moved in those spots instead of my safety schools.

The Dec test was Dec 3. In your test registration, you can identify colleges to receive scores automatically upon release. The first four are free but you can add more for a fee per college. Any identication of colleges in your test registration, or modification to the list you have already made, must be done by no later than today, Dec 12. Since you took two subject tests on Dec 3, you cannot choose to send one without the other via your identifications being done now or before today in your test registration. Starting tomorrow, and until scores are released, you will not be able to do anything to send Dec scores to any college not listed in your test registration. When scores are released on line, you will then be able to again order scores sent, and, if desired, you will be able to choose to send one of the Dec tests without the other, but each send will be for a fee per college.

You cannot determine right now whether scores have actually been sent to any colleges you have listed in your test registration for the simple reason that nothing has been sent to colleges yet. The earliest that will possibly occur is a day or two before you get the scores on line. When the send has been done, your file with CB should show that your send order has been filled.

I do not know exactly what you did last night. If you already had four free sends listed, then the only way you could have added colleges is for a fee per college. If for the colleges you added, you paid a fee per college, then you are probably OK. If you did not pay such a fee and what happened is that your original four free sends changed to colleges you believed you were adding, then what you did was erase your original four free sends and create a new list, with the result that the four you originally listed will get nothing when scores are released, and thus you will need to go in today and correct what you did.

Adding to the above, If one of the things you are trying to do is send prior scores to colleges now, meaning today, without the Dec tests, then you cannot possibly do it through use of your Dec registration. The Dec test registration and its free sends applies to the Dec test. If you order scores sent through that registration, your prior scores will be sent to colleges with the Dec test scores when the Dec tests are released and not before then. If you actually want to send prior scores to colleges now, you must go to a prior test registration, in which the Dec scores will not even be shown as existing, to make that send, and it will cost you a fee per college.
