The regular life depends entirely on the student. A good number of students spend a lot of their time studying in Kendade or the library (and sometimes even sleeping in either). Other students spend their time partying in Amherst, others spend their time going to all of the 'hip' stores in Northampton. Campus life? It's a lively campus, but you have to know where to look. There are always dorm parties, many times hosted by the rugby team. I'd say the dorm room parties are a lot hotter than the majority of parties thrown by MHC. There is, of course, a lot of drinking at these parties, but it's not like everyone goes to them... in fact, most people do not.

And how is academic life? Could you mind letting me know something more about the popularity and strength of computer science major at MHC?

Honestly, I know nothing other than that those students in particular get a good chunk of work. I've heard it's a good department, but I don't really know much.

Academic life is excellent. You can really find what you need academically. Advising is top-notch. I encourage you to build a relationship with your adviser when you get here, don't necessarily take a class with him; just make sure you make good use of his availability.

I know comp. sci isn't the most popular major; the most popular majors are biology, psychology, and English, as I've learned. Each of those departments have pretty strong backings ($$$), but I also know that comp. sci is a strong major, though it doesn't have as much money.
