What DON'T you like about Brown?

paying the res counselors to the point where they get free room and/or board as is the case at other schools might help with that

... if it were to happen

the point of having residential counselors being?

Supporting students through whatever transition issues be they academic or personal that they may be encountering

@sid

Realize that 15 and 17 are designed to be accessible to people who have no experience at all programming as well as though with some experience.

Also, 15 is supposed to be entirely graphics based essentially, and also teaches the principles of OOP, since it's taught in Java. CS16, on the other hand, is nearly entirely data structures and algorithm.

i wish we had a student center. i wish people in discussion classes didn't agree with each other so much.

Negru get a GRIP

Go to UC santa barbara, go to UC Santa Cruz, go to UC Boulder, go to Arizona State, go to U Miami, go to U Southern California, go to Tulane, go to Univeristy of Florida, Florida State, Louisiana State U, Louisiana State Lafayette, U Wisconsin Madison, U Texas Austin, or Penn State, and you will see what REAL worship of drugs and alchohol looks like!!

Crikey!!

Yeah, I agree with Clay. I mean, I'm fairly conservative on all of that stuff and relative to my friends, it is really pretty tame. Granted, it may be different in Romania but, relative to other schools in the US, Clay has it and you're also right about the discussion sections

Jason am I ever going to meet with you? I have made several efforts to talk to you about the task force stuff which have gone nowhere so, if you are serious find me.

wait i think you misunderstood. i answered to the guy asking about religious life here, not to the ops question. religion..worship alcohol..get it?
the decent drinking that goes on is actually a thing i like about this place. easy classes means we can drink 4 nights a week, starting every Wednesday :)
not as good as it could tho..here if you miss a homework or an exam you're basically screwed, unlike highschool when you could just skip 2 weeks of school without anything bad happening or anyone noticing. Hard exam on the way? Lots of impossible homework? who cares, lets skip and drink..but this place is turning people into slaves

and to add what I don't like (besides lack of heating, etc)
-lack of more alcohol shops
-lack of cheap alcohol
(freakin 9 dollars for 6 tiny beers? jeesh..)
Brown should subsidize alcohol consumption. Or make a drinking-plan. Yes, we need the equivalent of a meal credit - the drinking credit. Also offer drinking-need based financial aid.

It's been hectic... email me and I'll set up a solid meeting for sometime in the next 5 days fred.

Negru, you just need a car to get to cheaper alcohol.

Standards is excellent, and there are quite a few places within less than an 8 minute drive.

That Darwin place isn't cheap?
