haha, definitely same here.

Me too. People ask me where I'm going to school, and I'm like well..I haven't been accepted or contacted by anyplace yet.

^ ya i get the same thing, im like I DONT KNOW YET, im going to find out in april

Hey guys, question...
would the fact of a. immigration and b. low income play into admission factors? I didn't mention either in my essays and I'm hearing from people that I should have...

Well - to be blunt, they'll probably get the whole immigration thing because of your name and the low income info from the school you go to.

"A", I read what you said about URMs, but one thing, I wasn't sure if you touched on was where is that factored in in the applicant review?? Where is that decided, or at what stage??

Also, some one mentioned earlier about being accelerated, or graduating early, how does the age of an applicant factor in?? If you are a 50 year old freshman, or a 15 year old freshman, where and how does it affect your application??

Sorry, I meant "X", not "A".

bump
bump
bump

Guys, this whole process is depressing to think about... I've started to listen to Mozart's Requiem every time I come to this site... :)

What movements? * Benedictus, Sanctus, * or * Lux Eterna*; or are you listening to * Dies irae*?

They get free trips from rich parents.

lol... if you must know, I start off in Kyrie and stop after Lacrimosa... why?

Suppose someone gets "bad" grades (mostly B's, few A's and C's) but gets a VERY VERY good recomendation letters (like 2-3 pages long, convincing, etc) will that person have a shot at harvard? Will the letters make up for the low grades?
Thanks fellers

Good rec letters might help clarify your situation, but they're not everything.

But could it make up for lower grades?

Nuthead- there's only one way to find out.

Step 1: Wait 18 days.
Step 2: Check your email.

Honestly, any other answer people give you isn't going to do any good.

wait so I have a question. Coaches can send a list of recruits that they want on the team. But what if a coach says he/she will "support" one's application? What does this mean? How is this dealt with differently that with a recruit application?

Support = Recruit. Being recruited is not necessarily a 100% guaranteed way of acceptance.

i keep wondering why they don't send out the rejection letters already... I just feel like I'm already rejected... I just want to know already... ha...

xjayz, r u sure? B/c I thought supporting an application meant that a coach will put in a good word for you. Kinda like an extra rec. but better and more influential
