What exactly is a "minor"?

<p>Here in Poland there is no such thing as a minor. If you study something you study only this one major, you can’t pick anything else, its hard enough already. I was thinking about taking a Theater minor in addition to my Media Arts becouse it sounds like fun. So, couple of questions: </p>

<li>Is it important to have a minor? It will count to my normal GPA?</li>
<li>Lets say I will transfer. Do other colleges even look at it?</li>
<li>Is minor mentioned in final degree documents?</li>

<li> No, it's not important to have a minor; some colleges don't even offer them. However, every course you take will contribute to your GPA.</li>
<li> Colleges you transfer to will look at your entire record, so, yes.</li>
<li> Probably, yes, your minor, or double major, will be mentioned in your final documents.</li>
