What exactly is DGS?

<p>I applied to DGS cuz I had no idea what I want to major in. I still have no clue what I want to study in college so I thought I would try out a few things before deciding on a major..is DGS the right place for people like me? If I decided that I want to do business or engineering for example in my first semester, can I go to engi school? or do I have to stay in DGS forever? I've been studying the website but I still don't understand how this is going to work.</p>

<p>DGS exists to help you decide on a major. Having said that, as Drusba has said, you get only one chance to transfer into Business, that being at the end of your Freshman year. You need great grades, and even then it’s only a 50% chance of getting in. Engineering is a difficult transfer too, but apparently less competitive than business for transfers. DGS will help you structure your schedule to make sure you take the requisite courses for transferring into your sought after college.</p>

<p>And, yes, you’ll be receiving a large envelope in the mail.</p>
