What factors will increase/decrease my chances? (Exeter, Andover, etc.)

Here are some details from my application. Which details do you think would increase/decrease my chances?

  • I am applying for 10th grade.
  • I am from a small town in Colorado. Would this count as geodiversity?
  • I am not applying for financial aid.
  • I have close friends attending the schools I applied to, they are mentioned in my application and many of my interviewers knew them personally.
  • I am have a tri-citizenship (Vietnam, U.S.A., and Ireland).
  • I have a book review blog with around 200 followers.
  • I play the piano. Scored superior plus on National Guild Auditions and got a recommendation from my tutor.
  • I snowboard competitively, and made a video demonstrating what I know. I don't know if this would be helpful since snowboarding isn't something that's recruited, but hopefully it stands out.

I got 92% on the SSAT (which is slightly low), but I have a 4.0 GPA, which hopefully means I am secured academically. Of course, the applications have been submitted, so this post is mainly to calm myself and reflect on the process. Thank you

How could you mention in your application that some of your friends attend the school? Also, I don’t believe this will change your chances.

They had an option in the candidate profile. Plus, the admissions officers asked during the interview. Thanks anyway

I agree it seems like name dropping–who cares if you have friends there?

I have a question, where were you born? How many years have you been studying in America?
