I don’t think most schools recalculate GPAs - think of the work to recalculate GPAs for 10K+ applying freshman.

<p>California public universities do recalculate – but they make the applicants do the data-entry work into an on-line form, so that their back end system can recalculate the GPAs according to the desired formula.</p>
