We have to have 40 hours of community service each semester for our last two years <.<

4 years of gym was truly the bane of my existence. I'm so glad I'll never have to take another gym class again.

I thought the one year of "applied arts" (basically something technology-related) requirement was going to suck, but the computer classes I took turned out not to.

1 yr of Art/Music: I quit band before I came to my high school and thought "Ooh, Art, it's going to fun because I'm going to paint and learn about art styles." (I signed up for painting 1st semester and art survey 2nd semester)

NEVER AGAIN. I'm glad I got rid of that credit in freshman year.

15 page research paper during senior year.

*Btw llpitch congrats on becoming val. Does your school not include the first and second semesters of senior year in calculating rank? Or are you so far ahead you've secured the title? *

I'm so far ahead that I have it barring any catastrophes (which won't happen) =D

my school requires that we take keyboarding and p.c. applications, which is really annoying. i'm mad we have to take health too because it's so boring and every time i walked into that class, my day suddenly became worse.. we have 4 years of gym here, but i don't really mind it. it's useless because all we do is sit and talk because our gym teacher doesn't make us participate.

Senior project :

Mandatory two semesters of gym.

What a waste of a period. Participation in athletics should exempt me from this requirement.

Yeah, I would definitely say Gym.
Also, Computers.

Gym is cool. Unless you're fat or unfit.

^^^ Or unless your gym class consists of everyone sitting around doing nothing.

Im required to take Art, Communications (A Speech Class) and Health. Full of BS.

Three words: Econ and Government

Seriously, they don't even teach anything in those classes, I could really use the two extra blocks they take up.

4 years of English. With a teacher I don't particularly like lmfao

Two years of PE is so useless, when you have like 20+ hours of water polo practice, swimming, meets, and weightlifting

Also Health....

Senior Project (basically research a job, volunteer, do an MLA paper, and present it to some underclassmen). I've had to sit through a couple, and frankly, I have never used my PSP more in one day.

I don't know why u guys complain about gym. There's an obesity problem in the US. We all need it.

^^ Once again, the class is pointless when everyone sits around doing nothing. We spend half the year playing ping pong at my school. About 8 people play and the other 50 sit on the bleachers.

definetely PE, I play 3 sports so I should be able to opt out of PE where half the kids sit around anyways.

entrancestone- that sounds just like what every gym class I had on Long Island/ Orange County NY was like.

My pe classes at the school I graduated from were overkill. (Run a mile once a week (around the block, not on a track mind you, so you had to watch out for tree roots), thousands of crunches and push ups a week, suicides... if we were 'lucky' we were allowed a fairly intense game of a form of dodgeball).

Ugh.. I have to have 1 semester of personal fitness and 1 semester of life management. Plus I have to do a senior project. I'm not really looking forward to that.
