What happens if the Admissions office contacts school? (No English-speaking staff)

Hello. My name is Peter and I am a prospective international applicant from Greece. So, nobody in my school can communicate in English. What happens if the admissions office wanna contact my school? Thanks in advance!

Check on https://educationusa.state.gov/ for an advising center for your country to get info on applying to US colleges.

Generally you would need to get the materials that the colleges need (e.g., your transcript, description/profile of your school, recommendation letters) and get them translated to English.

But talk to an advising center to see what is “done” in your country.

There is not a teacher at your school teaching English?

Don’t worry about this. Admissions offices that feel the need to make such a telephone call will arrange for professional interpretation services. This is the 21st century. Access to that kind of service is easy to arrange.

Someone will find an English teacher to translate.

@skieurope The public school’s English teachers cant communicate with a native speaker. Even if it sounds unreal.

In that case, the university will find an interpreter.
However it’s very very very rare that a US university call a foreign school.

If the situation arises, and @MYOS1634 is correct in saying that it is very unlikely, an interpreter would be found.
