Life is corrupt. There are teachers in other schools who lie about their recommendations to get a student in. Unfortunately, the cheat wins in the end.

Money is the universal currency of power. You use money to bribe people to do what you want, buy what you want, and boss around other people however you want.

Many people say that the name of the college doesn’t matter. That’s a euphemism of “Don’t worry, I’m not an azn parent. I’m just condoning your miserable failures”

Sigh, and on top of that, competition is too fierce. Students commit suicide b/c of pressure so often that it barely makes the news.

not really true. I just read something...somewhere (sry, I have an awful memory) that listed the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and their colleges, and the colleges were really diverse (there were like 3 from UW-Madison)

it may seem like cheaters and backstabbers "win" at life (make more money, get more girls/boys), but if you're honest and you're at peace with the fact that you probably won't be a rich businessman then you're usually happier :)

and i totally agree with TPBM.

Your three points may be true for white middle-class suburbanites.
What I have learned about life? It extends beyond white middle-class suburbia.

Trying to categorize life is fruitless. Just live.

Success has nothing to do with SAT scores, GPA, or what college you went to. Success is about happiness and your personal satisfaction level.

People (especially here on this site) get caught up in the small stuff like grades, school, even careers. What about family, comfort and love- what really matters?

Americans don't realize how lucky they are. Who care if you got rejected from Harvard? Really, no one cares about your petty problems. Do you realize that there are people in this world fighting for their lives, people who don't have families, don't have food, don't even have clean water. Get a reality check.

Life is so special. Don't waste it. Live it to the fullest.

Live every moment of life to the fullest extent and try your hardest in everything because that is what makes it fun ^_^

(please dont take me literally when i say try hardest in everything...dont try ure hardest in smoking and drinking...i have a feeling that my post woulda changed the route towards that.)

Get drunk and have to deal with a hangover. Do stupid things. Make unwise decisions. Take risks. Live life. Have fun!

To be completely honest, my life made so much more sense the afternoon after the morning when I had a massive hang over after partying with the best friends ever. I never understood more and knew exactly what
I wanted. I wanted to live a life I was going to be proud of. Have amazing friends, make a difference in someone's life, and become a doctor. The route there does not matter, whether or not it is attendinf states school or an ivy. i will make my dreams happen.

Life is entirely what you precieve it to be. Your attiutde is EVERYTHING.

Have fun! When you are 88, you will not look back and wished you studied more or worked more.
