My birthday is Christmas Eve, so I understand this completely!
I am thinking towel warmers! They have a Sharper Image one at Costco for $100. My daughter is always cold, I thought she could throw her clothes in in the morning before she gets dressed. If she doesn’t like it, it will be an easy return.
My DIL has one , one of my daughters was thinking of getting one and I gave it a fleeting thought. DIL loves hers! She has had it “lit” several times I’ve been at their house
I can post a link.

Lounge sets seems to be a popular item for my 20s/30s girls
My 25 year old has this one and it’s so cute and she loves it

Look what you made me do. My Airwrap is on the way from Costco. (I’ve been eyeing it for a while.) May buy another or two for D and/or DIL for their big presents if they express interest when they’re here during Thanksgiving week.
And now your phrase “look what you made me do” has prompted the Taylor Swift song to start playing in my head.
(Not that I’m totally hoping for the Kelce/Swift relationship to become a fairytale since we all need some good news to distract us some these days from real world events.)
Yeah, I’m too old to be a true Swiftie fan but it is fun.
I think a personal made gift is great. I used to give my kids each a gift made by me when they were young.
My equestrian daughter has a very expensive list. I just ordered the riding breeches she asked for. They are expensive but I know she will use them till they fall apart. I also ordered her a saddle pad off her list. She is basically done since those items add up and never go on sale.
My annoying oldest of course says my babysitting for her is gift enough.
30 something DIL gave me some suggestions of things she would like.
This daughter ‘borrowed’ our battery lawn mower because theirs broke and her BF only likes gas. Or thought he did. Now he likes this one and we want it back!
It was a mother’s day present for my mother (who was in her 80s so needed small and light). My mother mostly only did the L shaped back yard (not too big) as my brother who lives across the street does the front yard when he does his.
People who switch to battery operated garden tools are my heroes!! Peace on earth restored.
Costco periodically has great deals on Greenworks equipment. We love their stuff.
We switched to Greenworks lawnmower from gas in April (got on Amazon). Good move.
Got H a battery-powered lawnmower two years ago. He is not at all into “toys,” but absolutely loves this mower. It’s lighter, no cord to pull, and quieter. The battery lasts about an hour, and so does he. He takes a nap while the battery recharges.
Same battery works for our snowblower, but of course, the fact we have one is the ultimate guarantee against us ever actually getting any snow!
We got hooked on Greenworks tools when I bought their leaf blower at the first Amazon prime day. Now Mr. is the proud owner is a few Greenworks chainsaws and bush trimmers, too!
My H has an electric lawn mower. Hr bought a Makita, since he has a bunch of Makita products and likes z not having to have a new set of batteries. He’s happy with it but was annoyed he lost the key, which he now replaced & now keeps on the mower do he won’t lose it again!
I’m considering getting the airwrap also, but want to have the latest version which Costco doesn’t carry. Waiting for Black Friday to see whether there’ll be a sale. Ulta has it for 20% off, expiring today.
Just bought my husband a starter pack of tinned fish from Fishwife and a pair of Bombas socks. Both having Black Friday discounts.
If you have a TJ Maxx or Marshalls nearby, they both have Bombas socks.
I have been thinking (for years!) about getting fireproof safes for my kids and giving them all their documents. I have a small one with everything stuffed in, mostly curled, and I wanted safes big enough that a standard document can be stored. Found some on Amazon with a slight sale (25%). They are soft sided but claim to be fireproof. I don’t think they will keep thieves out but I’m not sure the others will either.
Not the greatest gift but it will get the documents to them and they can worry about their own lives. I have birth certificates, adoption documents, past passports, religious certificates, some medical history (vaccination certificates), some college documents.
And for fun, some letters to Santa when they were in Kindergarten.
Just bought as a family gift tickets to the Les Mis US tour - so excited to go next year.
Okay, I need gift ideas for S25. He doesn’t have anything on his list. He doesn’t want/need clothes. I feel like he owns most board games. He is a big math nerd and Whovian. Is there anything kids need for traveling abroad? Any thoughts?
