What I need to know about up north

<p>lmao @ white *****es. that sucks. i dont dress like that at all. i in fact have flaming red hair and im getting my tattoo next week. i wonder if ill make any friends....</p>

<p>so is upstate more colder than downstate? may be somewhat obvious but if so, how much colder? (i being from long island) i'm also not the "fashion type" as already discussed heavily but i tend to wear jeans mostly even in the 20s but i'm used to it. what's your take</p>

It does get quite cold here esp. in January and Feb.</p>

<p>Jeans will be fine but need a warm coat, headcover and gloves. Usually a few different coats would be good b/c one day may be in the 30's and the next may be zero with a blizzard and minus 20 wind chill.</p>

<p>Upstate is much colder and snowier than downstate...</p>
