What if you are injured before the first practice?

<p>In June, I had signed up for XC in september. However, over the summer, I had a severe ankle injury which prevented me from running. I did XC the yr before. Should I include on my app that I participated last, as well this yr?</p>

<p>i had a similar thing....blew out my knee soph year in XC and consequently, i havent done xc, played basketball, soccer, or softball ever since (currently a senior). although i do plan to play basketball, soccer, and softball this year.</p>

<p>on my apps i listed my situation something like this (only more formal of course):
Cross Country: 9th grade, 10th grade injured/manager, 11th manager/injured, 12th manager/injured
Basketball: 9th grade, 10th manager, 11th manager, 12th Varsity Letter (guaranteed b/c im a senior, will start this year too so...yeah)
Soccer: 8th grade Varsity Letter, 9th grade Varsity Letter, 10th grade Varsity Letter/manager/injured, 11th grade Varsity Letter/manager/injured, 12th grade Varsity Letter (again, guaranteed)</p>

<p>so hopefully this helps; some of it depends on the format of the app. my apps required an essay and one of the essay choices was "discuss an event or something in your life that has made a significant impact on you during your high school year" and i wrote about my struggles with my knee surgeries and rehab and that sort of clarified everything in my list</p>
