well I cant now, but if I did, I would transfer as SOON as I get the credits…doesn’t matter if I take 5 classes a day each day lol

Weather can be a huge factor. I know plenty of people who’d go to my school (UW-Madison) but they couldn’t handle the winters. But it’s just as well, if UW were located in a warm place I think everyone would want to go there :P

All of the Northern kids at USC almost always put down weather as a reason for choosing it. It’s like they think that it doesn’t get cold here or that it never snows or something. xD

Maybe they got it mixed up with SoCaL? ;)

I ended up going to Northeastern as my last choice (got rejected at one school and waitlisted at 3 others).

Honestly, I applied there as a safety and was ok with it and most people applied there from my school anyway. At first I was very annoyed that I had gotten shafted in the process, I believed I could have gotten into my matches at least or something.

However, I love it at Northeastern. It ended up being a blessing in disguise. I still love the campus and how it’s in a city, yet still has a campus. I made great friends so far, live in a great dorm too! I’ve got a 3.98 first semester and hope to keep it, got involved, doing research next semester, and having a lot of fun. Honestly, as long as you make the effort to look for what you want, usually there is a way to get it from any college, and you’ll end up being pretty damn happy :)

I first misread it and thought you said “Northwestern” was your safety. haha

It’s kind of funny you say that and it shows that some schools fit certain people while they don’t fit others and that you really don’t know necessarily what you want until you actually get there. I have a friend who didn’t get into her top three picks and got waitlisted at several, but she ended up choosing Northeastern. It was never ever her last choice or a safety school. It was one of those schools she actually thought she’d like. She’s completely miserable now and is thinking about transferring.

I think when it comes to college, you do your best to go to the school you want to be at in the first place, but no matter what, you have to go to your school with a good attitude and an open mind. If you do that and you’re unhappy, then you can just transfer. It isn’t the end of the world.

My last choice is the premier animal trainer school in the world. I’ve decided not to apply because being a trainer is such a huge gamble, salary-wise. But if I don’t get into anything I’d rather attend then I figure it’s meant to be; besides, training monkeys and lions all day is a pretty cool idea for a safety.

My last choice is community college and I’m pretty sure that I’ll be avoiding that since my rolling admission safety school accepted me. If I did have to go to CC, I think I would manage somehow…
