What in the end do we want for our kids?

<p>I have been reading and occasionally joining in conversation on CC, but as my D finishes her 1st semester at Pepperdine I ask you parents who are stressing and striving for Ivy's top LAC's etc. what in the end do you want for your child?
Me...
I want her to be educated enough to present herself well in any circumstance.
I want her to understand the world better, to make it a better place for her children.
I want her love what she does yet not be chasing the almighty buck.
I want her to respect herself so other will respect her.
I want her to always know there is a bigger picture that we can't always control.
And I want her to find love that will sustain her as I hope our love has.</p>

<p>How does this relate to the purpose of CC ... help your child find the school that is best for them, not the "best school"</p>

<p>After a bad start her freshman year she regrouped and transferred my D has found her place at Pepperdine...the rest will come.</p>
