<p>I just received this gigantic package from U of T saying you have been nominated as a Galbraith Scholar..</p>
<p>What exactly is it? Is it just a title?</p>
<p>hey, I actually received that on the same day as you. I think its just a title. But I wonder how many people are in this thing and what other things come with it.</p>
<p>Hey I received the Galbraith Scholar pack too!..it seems naice…anyway… I was also wondering what benefits does this program have. I dont think its just a title the, letter says sth like ‘…it is in addition to the financial scholarship you received with your offer of acceptance’…but no where does it mention any rewards except for ‘unique and exclusive experience’</p>
<p>Would be really happy if any current U of T Galbraith scholar did some expansion on the topic!!</p>
<p>ok, I’ve asked U of T and turns out this is kinda like a program for the First Year</p>
<p>there are 95 of us this year
Basically they will be organizing special seminars and providing Scholars the opportunities to create their own social events and blah…and these opportunities are only open to the Scholars
We got to meet some professors as well</p>
<p>I was really shocked when I got mine today actually. When DHL called my house I was thinking where could I possibly be getting a package from since I’ve heard from all of my universities already… I was even more surprised to get this giant box! I was extremely happy about the “gifts” but the scholarship has no monetary value so I won’t be going to University of Toronto this year since I was not awarded enough scholarship money. I actually declined my offer last week so I was thoroughly confused to learn that they mailed me something.</p>
