Does Early Admission boosts your chances of getting accepted?

How’s the psychology program (I want to get into forensic psychology)?

I’ma girl and I’ve heard there isn’t really a large selection of guys since a lot are homosexual. While I think its great that there’s a large LGBT group at the school, I’m still interested in dating so would that work out for me? If not, do other colleges nearby have close relationships with GW. Close enough to maybe find a nice guy to date?

How’s the internship program?

How cooperative is GW with aid and scholarships?

What are the people there like? I know its a pretty diverse school and everyone can find their niche and all but generally what’s it like?

How are the nearby shops? I’m into Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, J. Crew, that sort of stuff.

On a scale of one to ten; one being the least, ten the most; how preppy is GW?

Are there a lot of school traditions? I mean I’m guessing not since there’s not really much pride either but I still wanted to ask.

Yes.

I can’t speak for the whole program, but the two classes I took were excellent.

You should still be able to find a guy at GW. Yes, pickings can be slim, but even if GW doesn’t work out there are a lot of younger guys in D.C., whether at Georgetown, AU, Maryland, or the yups (young professionals). Don’t worry too much about this :wink:

How’s the internship program?
Excellent. GW is an amazing school for internships and networking. My biggest regret is not taking more opportunities to network.

How are the nearby shops? I’m into Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, J. Crew, that sort of stuff.
Shopping is excellent. You’re a 20 minute walk from the outdoor shops at Georgetown (lots of trendy stuff), a 10-minute Metro ride to Pentagon City Mall, and maybe a 20 minute ride to Tysons Corner Mall.

Preppy? I’d say a 6. Georgetown is more preppy, GW is ‘trendy.’

A few, I suppose. Nothing too incredible. There’s a hippo statue on campus that some rub for luck before exams, for example.

Overall, GW is very diverse. I think there’s a large group of trendy individuals, but there’s plenty “plain Janes and Joes” (I suppose I was one of them)

The best dorm depends what you want form a dorm. The nicest is probably West Hall on the Mount Vernon Campus. They ‘typical freshman experience’ can be found at Thurston, although it’s quite rugged. Commuting? Not many. When I commuted 3rd and 4th year it felt like I was the only one. If someone doesn’t live on campus they’re probably only a Metro stop or two away.

Excellent. Even though there were some rough spots at the time, looking back it was a great time in my life. I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else.
