My guess is that outreach to our area is more about increasing interest and applications from our area. I doubt that they have a preference for California applicants. I think it’s tough applying EA, though. I hear that UChicago is a school that really prefers ED, so if you switched to ED2 you may have a better chance. Good luck!
Any admitted students get anything in the mail? I have only received a scarf so far. I moved houses and had a few mail issues so Im not sure if I missed some mail? What did you all receive so far?
