what is needed for UVA transfer?-Dean J

<p>I'm currently a student at Northern Virginia community college and have some questions regarding transferring to UVA. I will not be using the guaranteed admissions agreement because I have not taken the required foreign language classes. I don't have the room on my schedule since I'm getting my Associates in Business Administration. I will change my major to Economics once I transfer to UVA. </p>

<p>First off here is my bio: </p>

<p>-High school GPA of 3.2 (I don't know if that is weighted or unweighted). I didn't do very well in high school. </p>

<p>-Never taken the SAT/ACT. Is it worth taking now that I'm at a community college? </p>

<p>1.When do I apply to UVA if I want start there Fall of 2013? </p>

<li><p>Should I take my SATs? Or is it pointless at this point?</p></li>
<li><p>Anything I can do to better my chances of getting accepted?</p></li>
<li><p>Does UVA require my high school transcript or SAT schools when I apply to transfer? Or do they only want my college transcript?</p></li>

<p>Hey! I transferred to UVA this past year from NVCC so feel to PM me if you have any more questions. For the ones you listed-</p>

<ol>
<li>The fall application deadline is March 1. So for you it will be March 1, 2013.</li>
<li>SATs are required unless it’s been more than five years since you graduated high school. I would say that it is not necessary that you knock them out of the park (your actual grades will say more about you), but you should try to do well and you must submit them.</li>
<li>Extracurriculars. Get involved, get leadership positions, be active in your school and local community and show passion for whatever you do.</li>
<li>Yes, they require high school transcripts, SATs, and any other colleges you might have attended in addition to NVCC transcripts.</li>
