Hey guys, I am just curious. my overall gpa (unweighted) is a 3.65/4. my sophmore and junior year i got a 3.92. my scores and ec and everything else are amazing. my ecs really make me stand out from the crowd. i just had the worst freshman year possible, everything went wrong for me, but i really did make a change to myself and grades. Is it possible that I still have a chance at these schools:
UPENN (ED)
Cornell (have legacy)
UMich (EA)
UChig (EA)
WashU
JHU
Princeton
Yale
UCLA
Brown
Dartmouth
UC Berkley

Low GPA.

What are your ECs?

4 years of Indoor Track (captain)
4 years of Outdoor Track (possible captain)
4 years of Cross Country (captain)
4 years of Math Team (Co-captain)
4 years of Peer Leadership (President)
4 years of Student Gov. (Treasurer)
3 years of DECA (2 years as President)
3 years of Guidance Honors Association (1 year as VP and other as Pres.)
1 year of National Honors Society

300 + hours of Community Service
I tutor many students, and I have since sophmore year. It acts as a part time job.
For a junior/senior project I created a charity in Bangladesh to help the poor kids get an education. I wrote a 20 pg write up with it and it has earned me much respect within my community. (Probably most hard job I’ve done)

Also I have taken 4 aps as a junior, and will take 5 as a senior.

Hmmm. The Bangladesh charity could help, but the others aren’t as “stand out” as you implied. Obviously they are really good, but at the Ivies, it’s pretty common to do DECA and varsity sports and student government.

Are you a URM?

im asian. but yea the tutoring and the charity are my standout factors. but curious would it be wise or would it hurt me to add all of these ec’s to my resume cuz i didnt do that much in some as opposed to others

Only add the ones you were really involved in or else they will just look like resume padders.

and what schools on the list is it good for so far?

They are all reaches. You’ll definitely need targets and safeties.
