What is Scoir?

I’ve read about it on CC, but never looked it up. I did today, and I am not sure I understand what it does and whether it’s worthwhile.

Any thoughts on this?

Coincidentally, I accessed the Scoir website just now on St. Patrick’s Day and came across this: “Scoir is an Irish Gaelic verb that means to exit, retire, or transition from one phase to another. It was chosen by our founder, an Irishman from Belfast, while watching the 2012 Navy v. Notre Dame football game in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium. The Director of Enrollment at Notre Dame asked, “What’s the score?” and Scoir was born.”

Perhaps the luck of the Irish created this moment of serendipity?!

Scoir is basically the same as Naviance. Some schools use it instead.

Thank you! So, if my kid’s high school doesn’t report on Scoir (or Naviance), are they both kinda’ useless?

I think so. But your school must have something?

They probably do, but I don’t think it’s either Naviance or Scoir. But, based on your info, I will follow up with the my D.
