I was wondering if there is any real good tasting alcohol (like a normal kiwi juce drink for instance) out there that you'd recommend and that you can buy at a local thrift store.

Anything with a sweet, very good, and not overpowering taste, or is all alcohol going to taste bad and overpowering?

local thrift store? lol
i feel weird posting this, but i'm not a drunkard lol i do drink sometimes but i'm also #1 in my class so don't shoot me.
well personally, i like green apple smirnoffs for straight drinks/beer, but for mixed drinks i like basically any juice mixed with vodka, usually red gatorade or pineapple juice.
i doubt you'll find alcohol that tastes "really good" because i feel that everything i've tried has a bit of a bitter taste, but it's not that bad, definitely not overpowering, and you don't even notice it after a while.
someone else offer a suggestion so i'm not the only one?

The fruit flavored Bacardi and Smirnoff drinks are tasty - kind of like Jolly Ranchers mixed with Sprite. My dad bought some for new years - it's not strong at all. Captain Morgan's spiced rum also isn't bad. I don't really drink much at all (and when I do it's usually mixed drinks), but that's my take.

Girly (those fruity ones) alcohol is bad and insidious. If you want good tasting stuff, pick wine, but not the cheap kind. If you really want sweet stuff that's good, take ice wine, or better yet, ice cider (cidre de glace). No you won't find them at the thrift store, and, they aren't cheap either, but oh so good.

PS: don't ever buy alcohol from a corner*/thrift store.

*unless it's beer, but it better be real beer.

^couldn't have said it better myself. even if you're a girl. mixers are so weak and alcho-pops are so evil. With real liquor, you can feel what you're doing to yourself.

I personally find vodka to be the worst liquor ever.

Rum and bourbon are my favorites, but lately I've been really tired of drinking liquor.

So I've been mainly drinking beer and it's 10x better. There's so many different brands and flavors to try that you'll never get bored with it. It's something that you can actually enjoy drinking after acquiring a taste for it instead of cringing every time you take a shot of liquor.

Not to mention you really don't realize how much alcohol you've taken when you drink the fruity stuff. As I said above, it's insidious, and not a good way to drink...

Vodka striaght up. If you truly want to feel like you're living, then down anything fiery. The fruity stuff might be tasty, but I think it's for country club types who like to kick back. I personally like Captain Morgan's Rum and Grey Goose Vodka. Guiness also isn't too bad, for a beer.

I love Vodka Blue, but it's a "girly" and "wimpy" drink. I hate a lot of sodas, but the vodka makes the blue fruit flavor much better. It's sweet, fruity, fresh, light.

I also like Tree Frog, but I've only had it overseas. I'm not sure if you can get it at the local drugstore (never seen Tree Frog here).

Guinness is gross, but there's something appealing about it.

Personally, I love mixes. Pina coladas (fresh, never ever ever the store-bought kind), sangria (hard to find a good store-bought kind), margarita mixes. I love snake bites, which are drinks made of beer and apple juice/cider. I hate the flavor of both, but mixed together, it's pleasant.

I can only say... don't buy Arbor Mist. It's the biggest shame to wine... ever.
