They are going to trasnfer I made sure they would. I also have paper work stating my classes will transfer. It saves a lot of money plus many of my classes are offered at the community college rather than my Univeristy.
That’s a decent deal. Paying that much is not bad at all. I’m paying 31k a year for 4 years.
Not all CC’s are created equal in terms of the quality of classes offered.
Are the foundation courses you’re getting at your CC good enough to give you a solid base of understanding for the upper level courses at your university? You may need to look beyond the criteria of just being able to transfer a class from CC because it’s cheaper to take it there. Maybe you need to take it at the University if that gives you a “better” more comprehensive course.
It’s somewhat common here for engineering students to take a CC course or two in the summer when they’re home to transfer back to their U and lighten their fall load and save some $. There are several courses that they know NOT to take because they just don’t give them the background needed for the upper level classes that build on them. And many end up just taking gen ed’s to avoid this issue altogether.
Go to school in Colorado. My friend graduated Mechanical Engineering from NIU in 2009 and couldnt find anything related for a couple years. Then he moved out to Denver and found many opportunities for those with Engineering Degrees. Illinois isn’t a good place for that kind work anymore.
Yes, your friend, representing a sample size of one, clearly indicates a trend.
