I know all the basics from the CSAC website, but I was wondering if anyone knows about it more in detail like:

Requirements?
Who gets it?
How much is it?
What does it do?
Is it different from the Cal grant A?

Any other helpful info too

Thanks!

I know someone that got about $700 (cal grant B ) per semester at a community college and I got around $12,000ish (cal grant A) at a UC.

How do they determine eligibility and who gets the cal grants? I noticed it said only 22,250 students get the cal grant so I was wondering how they exactly “score individuals” to receive them and what points count the highest aside from GPA such as first gen college student, family income, etc…

Don’t know man. I heard it was first come first serve.

Nope lol it’s purely scored between those things :/

Then why ask if you already knew the answer? lol

Because I was asking first if that was different from the Cal Grant A and B and second if anyone knew how each was weighted in the decision to give or deny a cal grant lol
