I am gaining interest in LIM for fashion merchandising but it is a for-profit school which I have heard is not a good thing, but what is the major difference? I have no money saved up and my parents have no money to give me for college so is there no difference for me or??
Thanks.

The biggest difference in my mind is the accreditation. Because for-profit schools generally are not accredited by the same organizations, your credits there will not transfer to other schools.

For-profit schools also have the reputation of encouraging students to borrow as much as possible without regard to their ability to repay the loans. However, I have heard of many non-profit schools that do this as well.

For-Profit schools are a scam.
