National Universities and Regional Universities.
They pop up on college lists all the time online and after much research I still don't understand the difference!

What is the difference?

How are they seen compared to each other in the eyes of graduate schools and employers?

Is there a better one or one that is more reputable? If so, how?

Thanks everyone and please don't view and leave if you know the answer. Take care.

“Schools in the National Universities category, such as University of Chicago and Stanford University, offer a full range of undergraduate majors, master’s, and doctoral degrees. These colleges also are committed to producing ground breaking research.”

“Regional Universities offer a full range of undergrad programs and some master’s programs but few doctoral programs. Regional Universities include Villanova University, Elon University, Butler University, and San Francisco State.”
