It looks very appealing, but a downside compared to many other equally selective colleges is that theatre major get zero course credit for taking on major roles in productions. Our family did a recent tour through Ohio colleges, and Kenyon was the only one with this rule. I’m not really sure that it matters, but it did raise a question mark in my mind. Kid is considering theatre as a possible major but maybe, if Kenyon ended up the place, it might not be the best choice or major. What are the department’s strengths and weaknesses? Is it a strong department at Kenyon?
