What is the total tuition at URI? (2011-2012)

What is the total tuition at URI for the 2011 to 2012 school year (OOS)? I can't find a figure on their website that includes room and board as well as meal plans and all the required fees...

thank you!

Check http://www.uri.edu/es/forms/pdf/EstTuitionFeesUG2011_12.pdf</a>. But keep in mind the note at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for the link, but that doesn’t include books and supplies and transportation. I just got my financial aid letter in the mail today and the total tuition for OOS students at URI is ~ $42,050!! That’s just as expensive as a private school. >.<

Actually…

Does anyone know if URI participates in the New England Regional Tuition program?

Look at the link that was posted above. It shows tution, fees, room and board which comes to a little over $38000 for OOS students. So the $42K you quoted isn’t tuition alone - it must be COA (cost of attendance which usually includes books, transportation and personal expenses).

URI’s OOS tuition is $25912 which is lower than most private schools. Private school COA is often about $56K.

What’s your EFC? Did URI offer any FA? just loans?

Yeah private school OOS tuition is around 54K with everything added in including books, transportation, and personal expenses. And URI OOS tuition with everything added in is $42,050. I’m mainly looking at cost of attendance because that’s how much I’m going to end up paying basically.

URI did offer me financial aid. With the subtracted costs I end up paying around ~$21,000 for URI, which is around the same that I would be paying for a private school that I’m looking into with the subtracted costs, because they gave me more aid. I just thought that URI would be much cheaper, which is why I was considering URI in the first place. Now that it’s around the same price, I don’t know.

Hopefully I’ll be able to visit the school, and that should help me make my final decision.
