What is the typical amt of upper divs CS majors usually take by graduation?

This is for L and S. I know that 6 is the minimum, if you use a non-CS technical elective, and realistically, one could probably fit in as much as 18 if all your classes are CS besides the 7 breadth and R and C. What is sort of the average number of upper divs L and S people take? I feel like 6 is just waay to few, and the schedule leaves so much space that it seems to begging for a double major. And if people do near the minimum number of courses, what other classes do these people take to fill up the free space.

Classes that they are interested in?

If 6 is way too few, take more. Or just take classes you’re interested in. Or spend the extra time doing research, take a semester off for an internship/study abroad. The number of classes you’ve taken is irrelevant to pretty much everything after college, including job prospect.

Although which CS courses you take can affect which base level CS knowledge you will enter the job market with. While most topics in CS can be self-educated, it is generally to your advantage to take the CS courses whose concepts are most commonly found in industry software jobs (e.g. 170, 162, 186, 169, 161, EE122).
