dude...i got 3 wrong for math and that translated to a 720?!?!?...
***..
and only 4 wrong for writing was a 70...=.=
god..CB can just go to hell...

Seriously 2 wrong 1 omitted for math=740
BUT 2 wrong 1 omitted for verbal=790

Yes I know there are many more verbal ?s but seriously

And for writing score, no comment. I guess my 150 boost in CR and V was offset by my 100 pt drop in W.

Even with the sadistic curve on the math section, there are a lot more math high scorers than verbal high scorers. I wish they would make the math harder.

1 wrong verbal = 790
4 wrong math = 690

for my scores anyway. none omitted.

4 wrong M (-5 raw) = 720
2 wrong M, one omit (-3 raw) (in June) = 720

4 wrong CR = 760

You are kidding right, sljaegar?

There is no way 1 wrong/0 omit for reading gets you a 790.

How did ritaka get 4 wrong = 720 and sljaeger 4 wrong = 690...

different versions of the test = different curves

1 wrong and 0 omit got me 800 CR. everyone said my test's CR was f-ing hard, so maybe the generous curve is fair.

2400SAT...what was your strategy for CR?

I am pretty sure the typical CR curve is 1 wrong for 800. On more difficult tests the curve has been 2 wrong for 800.

2 wrong writing MC= 75

?!?!

4 wrong on math= 700
6 wrong on CR= 720
7 wrong on W (9 essay)= 660 (this is (&#(*&@#$)!!

Dude...3 wrong on Mc = 71 MC score? ***??

wow fullcollapse how did you go from a 640 to 790???

got 2 wrong...on math..760....man...I love math IIC......

On my score report it says that there were only 48 MC W questions, but in the Blue Book there are 49.

2 wrong and 75 MC for writing is really ridiculous
On the PSAT I missed two on writing and got an 80!
On my last SAT I missed 6 MC but still got a 68.
How can the tests vary that much?

It depends heavily on the students taking the test. After the entire summer to study for the SATs, the test taker's own ability has improved, which may facilitate a harsher curve.

I read that that is not true, and that the curve isn't based on the "test takers' ability", but is set before the test is adminstered.
