What is up???

What the heck is up with The Dartmouth, D's paper?

Are they on Hiatus due to finals or something? They haven't put up a new paper since Dec 3. I am seriously going through withdrawal now.

(I think reading school papers are a great resource to find out what the issues are on a particular campus and the student involvement/opinions etc.)

Oh ... school paper problems??
I am coming to the rescue Dartmouth... (but wait till the descisions come out) tehehe

December 3rd was the last day of classes for this term. Yes, they are on hiatus for finals. The D wont be back until january. Hopefully the school makes an official announcement about early decision stats before then! Otherwise, we'll have to wait a while.

:( Every morning, I read the NYT online, our local paper, the front page of the WSJ and The Dartmouth. And I will hope that there is still reason to read come January.

Worst case scenario: Does your son have any younger siblings?

I have learned never to say never, and the numbers of applicants will have gone down by the time she hits her senior year ('12), but it's hard to think that far in advance. I can barely think about tomorrow!

There are more Dartmouth papers to search out Modandunn! DS read them all last year. I know another is the Dartmouth Review and there's always Ivygate.

(Ivygate not being a Dartmouth paper, but a blog about the Ivies in general)

Look up the Dartmouth Independent and Dartmouth Free Press. There's also the Dartmouth Jack-o-lantern (humor is always good in these trying times). We also have a spanish-language newspaper (I don't know if it's any good, because I speak French). There are others, but I forget them all. Maybe you can check out one or all of the undergrad science, law, and business journals. (not sure if any or all are even available online).

Btw. A new issue came out that has a fully-formated web version of the issue.
