What is your biggest fear as a UC transfer student?

Quarter system is way better. Semester drags ass

Surprised to hear that @art2CS and @mermaker, honestly, and maybe its because I can be a bit slow when processing things, I like the semester system. Granted, I’ve never tried anything other than a semester system, unless you include a summer session and an early spring session, but I like taking my time to look and things and learn about them in a good depth.

And that is why the semester system scares me because things will most likely go into real depth at the upper division university level; I’m afraid I won’t be able to keep up. I guess it kind of comes down to what kind of learner you are.

@godot1 I hear ya, though I’m also nervous about what will happen if\when I get in, but applying is pretty nerve wrecking because everything needs to be just right.

I’m a first generation college student, well the first in my family at all actually, and it makes me feel overwhelmed that my family can’t help me - I feel like that is such a whiny thing to say but it can get a bit much at times.

Since I’m the first to go, sometimes it feels like I’m in the deep end and I don’t know how to swim. When I ask for those at my college for help, I’ve gotten a range of responses.

One women was actually very rude to me when I asked her for help with my personal statement, I’ve gotten very distant, curt, and uninterested responses, and then, my counselor who I’ve been seeing for a while who will always go the extra mile for me - but she is a busy person, very proactive, and as of late very difficult to get a hold of :</p>
