How much did it cost?

How long do you plan on using it?

Dell Inspiron E1505: Centrino Duo Core Processors (T2500 @ 2.00 GHz), 1 GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 256Mb, 120 Gb Hd

$1800 with a $750 coupon

Until it stops working

i think everyone has that model.....

i do, 3 of my friends do, and when i went to orientation i saw tons of people with it.

iBook G4- 1.41 GHz, 512 MB, 14 in

1200 and came with a free ipod mini

I plan on using it til I graduate.

actually, i saw a lot of ppl with the new macbooks at orientation. i recommend getting an apple. my brother's dell started giving him trouble after like a year. i've had my laptop for almost a year now, and i've had no problems with it.

Yeah, I'm thinking of moving on to a Mac.
I've heard too many horror stories from people with Dells.

ive been a dell use for about 6 years now, and all the dells ive owned give me considerably less trouble than the vaio i've had for a couple years now.

some ibook g4 from 2004. cant afford macbook pro!

white macbook

1) I have a AMD Sempron Compaq Presario Laptop...60GB, 1.4Ghz Sempron, 512MB RAM, ATI Mobility Video Card, DVD, WiFi etc.

2) $500

3) It's been a year already...pretty much as long as it lasts.

Sony Vaio, vgn-fs920

$1200

As long as it will let me.

E1705

$1012

As long as it lasts, but I'll probably supplement it with a desktop within 5 years.

dell inspiron 700m

idk 1000 maybe?

probably i could get one more year out of this. When i go to college next year, i'll get a brand new apple powerbook with all the bells and whistles

Fujitsu Lifebook T4210 Tablet PC

~$2000

Until I buy a MacBook Pro, but I do love my lappy, so maybe forever. :D

The new Macbook.
$1,100 ish.
I guess until it breaks down or something.

I don't know what the big hype is with Dells..

I've been using dell for a while now and there haven't been any problems..I lovee my dell <3

Dell Inspiron E1405

$1,500 and some change

At least until 2010

Macbook 1.83ghz

$1050 + $300 iPod video + $100 printer. The best part? Sold iPod for $250 cash, got a $189 iPod rebate back, and a $100 rebate for the printer too. Total cost me around $910 with a free printer.

Maybe in four years. Maybe next year when the next Macbooks come out. Apple has a great resale value if the unit is properly taken care of.

:)

Inspiron 9300

$1900 (XD)

A while since it was top of the line. It's been acting up and it's fairly easy to get an upgraded replacement out of them so I expect it'll last a while.

It's a huge power house gaming/media system though so if I need something portable, I'll get the next iteration of the MacBook.

dell xps m140
1200 after 200 coupon
all of college and hopefully more.

im thinking of also getting a mac for fun...they are soo pretty...haha

Oh, I'm a grad student, but I <3 the UCLA forums so I'll bite...
