What is your country famous for?

Nahh…help-you-out books, Cheanna ;)

@Collegehelllp: Of course man. Ford, esp. But they are under threat of extinction because of the tidal waves of “creative destruction”.

Slovakia - hockey, often mistaken for Slovenia and if not then we are still Czechoslovakia according to most of the people

No, you aren’t - at least not for soccer fans. The Czech Republic soccer team is well-known to admirers of the beautiful game.

Also black gold!! :P

KUWAIT ;)

^ And , if I not mistaken, swords!

^^^made me lose the game.

I live in California, but I’m korean

Korea(South Korea!) are famous for Bboy dancing, Starcraft fanatics, Samsung, LG, Kia, Hyundai.

I’m From Sri Lanka.
And these days My mother country is famous for war against terrorism.
But Sri Lanka is normally famous for tourism, historical values and beautiful geography.

and cricket

VIetnam- delicious authentic food, beautiful nature scenes, and industrious, smart people :D

Greece - Sun, the islands, olive oil, the Parthenon, the olympic spirit, the Ancient philosophers, language (about 50,000 words in english are greek  ) and many more…

America, knowing how to pile on debt, debt, more debt.

My family my father’s family is originally from France so Nuclear Power, and losing too many wars to count, and my mother’s family is from germany, so getting drunk.

Philippines - known for a 50% poverty rate, human rights abuses and having every election from city council to the Presidency being notoriously corrupt.

I’m Chinese-Canadian and since Canada hasn’t been done yet…here goes

Canada: HOCKEY, maple syrup, being overshadowed by the US, saying “eh?”, being nicer (stereotypically) people than Americans :P

Hong Kong: food, shopping, over crowded streets, the city that never sleeps, the world’s smallest Disneyland (it’s PUNY.)

America: debt, debt and more debt. Living way beyond our means. Vulgarly large stuff. Fat people. SUV’s. The start of this entire subprime mess. Generally being a less pleasant place to live than Canada. Has a Napoleon complex about the fact that people outside this country (and even some inside the country) consider Canada a more pleasant place to live.

South Korea: overcrowding, hypercompetitive high school students, dirty streets, smog, noise, rude smokers (they’ll literally blow cigarette smoke right into your face), corrupt, delusional clowns in government, Samsung, traffic, humidity, general gross-ness, liver-destroying spicy food, high cost of living (Seoul), drunk people, getting drunk, …shall I go on?

Yeah, my experiences in Korea have not been pleasant (to say the least). The pure unadulterated truth is that you couldn’t PAY me to go live there again. Korea considers itself to be a first world economy (they boast that Korea has the 14th highest GDP in the world), but the majority of people’s standard of living is below that of, like Spain. Even Spain has a higher standard of living. It’s certainly not third world (although it’s bordering on it), but it’s certainly nowhere near a first world economy. Get your GDP per capita number up to somewhere near $25k and then we’ll talk.

“Has a Napoleon complex about the fact that people outside this country (and even some inside the country) consider Canada a more pleasant place to live.”

Not to be rude, but people in the US honestly couldn’t care less about Canada.

Yeah, that’s the reason we make fun of Canadians all the time

I think you can replace ‘Canada’ with every single other country in the world.

:)

China–Communism…and issue with Taiwan region?
