<p>U of C admit rate is dropping like a rock: down to 27% overall, 19% RD this year, and who knows what will happen next year when the self-selection factor of the Uncommon Application is gone?</p>

<p>Vanderbilt's applications were up 30% over last year, and its acceptance rate was 23%. Again, not a safety for anyone.</p>
