What is your first name?

Julie...kinda wish it was Julia or something more "official" sounding.

Tamara: Hebrew for "palm tree."

That's Ta^mera, not Tamair^a or Tamaur^a (like Tamara, Tamara, I luv ya' Tamara, you're only a day away) Nobody pronounces it correctly so I go by Tammy, then no one spells it correctly--Tami, Tammi, Tamy :)

My name's Caitlyn. My parents were watching Miami Vice, and Caitlin was the name of the rock star who fell in love with Don Johnson. Anyway, they both really liked the name. (Mine's spelt with a C because my dad thought it looked more feminine, and it's lyn with a y because my mom's middle name is Lynn.)

So, other peoples' names mean "beautiful" or "woman of god" or "wise and generous." I'm the rock star who fell for a vice cop, only to get killed off after getting a contract singing in Vegas. Plus, "Caitlin" was the number one name in 1999 for girls. So much for unique.

My name is Timothy. I go by Tim. Apparently my mom said that if I were a girl my name would be "Kelsey".

My name's Erin for right now, but as soon as I go to college, it's going to be Erin-Michelle :D I was going to be Mia right up until a few hours before I was born, but then my mom watched some movie called Mia the Catwoman and changed her mind :) I wouldn't have made a very good Mia anyway because I have the hazel-green eyes, freckles, fair skin, and dark reddish hair of an Erin.

Back before they anglicized it (sp?), Erin meant Ireland, but someone says it also means "a fair jewel set in a tranquil sea."

Bump!!!!!!!! I don't want to be responsible for killing another thread :(

Okay I'll continue it...

while my name is Stacey for now, I might go by my middle name (a heavily guarded secret) this school year or once I get to high school because I think Stacey is a beastly ugly name

i'll continue too, if you guys want you can say what you'll name your kids
i like celtic better than czech, both are pretty though, what do they mean?
i found out that aidan means "help, little fire" .. and i think it can be a boy or girl name .. according to this site http://www.thinkbabynames.com/name/1/Aidan
apparently it means 'sensual' too in hebrew
http://babyparenting.about.com/cs/gettingready/a/aidan.htm

Kid's names:
what I care about when naming:
1.how it sounds. if it doesn't sound good, throw it out the window
2.spelling. It stinks when no one can spell your name right, so unless it's unsual to start out with no wierd spellings (like alice spelled allys)
3.length. there's a rule to how many syllables sound good and I've found it's an accurate statement 98% of the time, and I plan on following it
4.meaning. I want the meaning to at least make sense. So If I marry someone chances are our kids won't be blonde (I'm black) so I wouldn't name them something meaning pale, fair, blonde, etc.

ok, I'm lawrence.

I read fiction/fantasy...and since my kids are NOT going to turn around when someone calls a name but means someone else, I might pick names out of books. They're different, and a lot of them are pretty. I like Aidan, too, on a side note :)

I own a baby name book which freaks out my friends. It's really old though, with a copyright around 1970

I seriously thought, for the longest time, that celebrian25 was a guy!!!

everyone thinks i'm a guy :p it's so weird. but i can assure you i only have female parts

woah, celebrian ur a guy? oh crap....i though you were one of us...

No I Am A Girl!!

Now, I know what you meant in the post about "Stacey's Mom" not being funny.

Yeah. Random people who I barely knew would come up to me and sing it to me. It was starting to wierd me out

in sophomore year, my english teacher's daughter who was my classmate in history class was named Aidan ("a" instead of "e" spelling). i've liked that name ever since.

celebrian i always knew you were a girl. i dunno why.
