What is your high school courseload (4 years)?

Haha, Ostonzi, are you making fun of ridiculous course names?

Because those even beat MY school's.

(and bioethics is awesome. You study philosophers, which is cool, and science, which is cool, but at the beginning of every unit, the teacher stands up and says "Now, eyeroll the Catholic church is against this technology too. Could anyone guess why?"

And we rattle off a list, all the while really meaning "because they suck", and she's like "yeah, good. Let's read some opinions against the Church for a while and watch this episode of House.")

umm no. that class is a biophysics class.
imcompressible fluid mechanics is a short name. so is equilibrium game theory.

I was talking about your earlier reply to my schedule, lol.

I do, of course, bow down to your schedule. I mean, who doesn't like equilibrium game theory?

eh. i preferred advanced algebraic topography II.

Equilibrium game theory sounds pretty wack. The name reminds me of the movie 21. I wish they had classes for you to learn how to count cards.

I'm intimidated by my own projected schedule. 0_o I hadn't really thought out that those would be the most likely courses for me.

In short, I'm really not sure. Yet.

eldoboy, I sort of have that. Its for 10th/11th grade except that 10th is Honors and 11th is AP. You cover half the textbook in 10th grade and half in 11th, and take the AP exam in May of junior year. Its kind of odd how 10th grade isn't counted as AP, even though we use the same textbooks and go (almost) the same pace.

So my school only offers three AP classes and they are only for seniors! I feel like my college chances are gone after reading some of these courseloads!

I know what you mean, ak2010! I've taken all of the advanced classes that I can; our classes are supposedly already at an honors level, so very few have that appendage, and we only recently got AP classes (I had to take my advanced English through the local ISD). I feel like my courseload is going to pale in comparison to some of these...

@eldoboy and @runningwriter

Same here. I'm pretty sure 2 years of US History is mandated by NJ state law, so though I hate it, the school can't do anything. It does mean a leisurely pace for history though, which is nice, and have time for reviewing and games. It also means we never learn AP Euro, which is stupid. I'd rather have one year of USH though and take Euro in 10th grade.

I know at my school, the district changed it so that 10th grade USH was no longer AP, and 11th grade USH was named AP, though when I took the course, it was called AP US History I, and so it's like that on my high school transcript. Lucky me, I guess.

I wish I knew how to quote posts instead of being forced to use @ symbols to designate who my reply is targeted towards..

you should do what i do and take your courses at the local university.
only take the required useless courses at ur high school.

look at my schedule thats on page 2 i think.

I wish my high school offered AP or Honors. I attend a boarding school and they don't offer any Advanced classes. :(
